BREAKING: Abba Kyari Opens Up On Operating Death Squad In Nigeria

Published

on

Suleiman Mohammed, a lawyer of detained Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Abba Kyari, has refuted the allegation that his client operates a killer squad.

The FidelinfoNews reports that the lawyer was reacting to reports that Nigerian Internet fraud ringleader Ramon ‘Hushpuppi’ Abbas told the United States District Court for the Central District of California that he is at risk of being harmed by Kyari and his associates if he is transferred to Nigeria.

Abbas said his role in the indictment of Kyari, which precipitated the downfall of Nigeria’s most-celebrated police officer, has put him at grave risk and he would not be able to return to Nigeria after serving his sentence in the U.S.

“This official response is for the purpose of clearing the air for people who may think Kyari’s silence is a confirmation of the malicious lie,” Mohammed said in a recent statement.

“To start with, how come the death squad is not known to the world or anybody until a purported plea bargain papers of a criminal desperately seeking for soft landing came up? Is such a type of person or his statements while seeking a mitigated sentence in a plea bargain something to believe?”

Kyari is presently standing trial for drug trafficking charges leveled against him by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
