BREAKING: DSS Arrests Boko Haram Leader In Abeokuta



The FidelinfoNews reports that after the arrest of a suspected Boko Haram leader on Sunday, there was unease in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Department of State Security Service agents detained the suspect (DSS).

The FidelinfoNews source gathered that the suspected Boko Haram leader was arrested at Ijaye area of Abeokuta.

The source claimed that the suspect first put up a fight before yielding to the greater strength of DSS agents.

The source disckosed on Sunday night that the operation was conducted at night.

The alleged terrorist traveled from Katsina to Abeokuta and began working as a security guard at Ijaye while gathering information for terrorist activities.

According to a security source, he relocated to Abeokuta to establish a terrorist cell for abductions and terrorist acts.

After gathering intelligence, the armed security personnel raided his hiding place and captured him.

It was not an easy ride. Intelligence and the grace of God were sufficient for the operatives. There are still many of them around, but we are on top of our game,” the source said.

A source confirmed that the suspect is still in the DSS custody.

The development comes amid the reports of the the alleged plan of terrorists to attack some states in the South West.

It was also learnt that the DSS Spokesman, Dr Peter Afunanya, neither denied nor confirmed the arrest.

The Police Public Relations Officers in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said he was not aware of any arrest.

35-Year-Old Man Charged For Defiling Daughter



A 35-year-old father, Temitayo Bamiro, has been arraigned before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, for allegedly defiling his 13-year-old daughter.

Fidel Info reports that that on the lone count against him, Bamiro entered a not guilty plea.

Dr. Simon Uche, the prosecution, informed the court that the defendant had violated the law on January 7 at the Iba New Site in Ojo, Lagos.

He claimed that Bamiro had a history of abusing his daughter sexually and had repeatedly forced his anus into her body.

The case was postponed to February 22, 2023, for mention, by the sitting Magistrate, Mr. L.J.K. Layeni, who also submitted the case file to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions for legal counsel.

Additionally, he mandated that Bamiro be detained in the Badagry Custodial Center.

JUST IN: Bandits Set Cleric Ablaze In Niger



Reverend Father Isaac Achi of the Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church was burned to death by bandits in an early-morning attack on Kafin Koro Community in the Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State.

Fidel Info reports that the bandits broke into the neighborhood at around one in the morning and started firing randomly as they made their way to the Rev. Father’s hilltop apartment.

Paul, a local resident, said that the bandits split into two groups. While some went to the Catholic priest’s official residence, the others stayed in the town and opened fire to ward off any potential interference.

Paul stated that when the bandits couldn’t assess the late Achi’s residence after a long while, they set the building ablaze and waited until it burnt to ashes with him in it.

The Divisional Police Officer was said to have been reached but couldn’t get to Achi until he died.

Armed Men Attack NDLEA Operatives In Lagos



Armed men opened fire on National Drug Law Enforcement Agency agents on Monday night on Awolowo Road in an attempt to stop them from apprehending the driver of a truck carrying several bags of marijuana.

Fidel Info reports that the armed individuals, who are thought to be associated with an unnamed security organization, also broke into one of the anti-drug agency’s working vehicles.

A few military personnel intervened, averting what would have been a bloodbath as the armed men fled the scene with the truck’s driver and abandoned the vehicle.
