2023 Presidency: Tinubu Not Intimidated By Lawan, Bello, Others – Campaign Spokesman

Published

on

The spokesman of Tinubu Campaign Organisation, Bayo Onanuga, has said presidential aspirant, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not intimidated by the Northern aspirants in the 2023 presidential race.

Northern aspirants contesting for the 2023 presidency under the All Progressives Congress (APC) include Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, Governor Mohammed Badaru of Jigawa State, and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi among others.

The former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria said Tinubu is not threatened by the presidential aspiration of the northern aspirant because he is a leader to other aspirants.

The FidelinfoNews learnt in an interview with the Press, Onanuga added that Tinubu is a political strategist and a tactician who knows the game of politics very well, adding that he has a high acceptability rate.

He said: “Tinubu is not at all threatened in anyway. He came out in January and even before he came out, we saw a massive campaign in his favour from the time (President Muhammadu) Buhari began his second term. People had been working for him and selling him all over the country.

“So many groups had been selling his candidacy while others just started. If a man has been so long in the field, he cannot be defeated so easily. This is why we are so confident that Tinubu will win on the 31st of May on the convention ground.

Tinubu is not in any way afraid of them. How can a leader be afraid of the people he has led for many years? Osinbajo and Tinubu will still be in the same camp after this convention is done.

“This is a game of politics. Osinbajo wants to try his luck; he will know his fate on May 31 whether he can beat a man who is a political strategist and a tactician far ahead of him.

“Nigeria needs a visionary at this time, someone who thinks out of the box to proffer solutions.”

Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged Peter Obi, the candidate for the Labour Party, to warn his supporters against spreading false information.

Speaking on behalf of Asiwaju, Bayo Onanuga, the Director of Media and Communications for the Tinubu Campaign Organization (TCO), claimed that Obi’s supporters have been spreading false information to the public in an effort to harm the APC candidate.

Recall that a report emerged online a few days ago, that the Ghanian President, Nana Akufo-Addo wrote a letter to Asiwaju, asking him to step down and support Peter Obi and take care of his health.

The President had via his official Twitter handle, debunked the report, calling it fake news, stating that it is a product of deliberate mischief with the intent to deceive the public.

Reacting, the TCO media Director asked Obi to disavow his supporters who are employing fake news against the former Lagos State Governor.

“We have come to a point where it becomes imperative to tell Obi to show leadership and disavow his supporters who are employing fake news and disinformation as deliberate tools to deceive and poison the minds of unsuspecting Nigerians,” Onanuga stated.
