Kwara North Endorses AbdulRazaq For Second Term

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaiama local government area of Kwara state have endorsed Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for a second term in office.

The FidelinfoNews gathered that the stakeholders made this known during a peaceful rally that was held at the council secretariat to declare their total support and commitment to the reelection of the governor for the top seat come 2023.

The endorsement comes despite ongoing agitations for a Kwara North Governorship bid that had been going round the local government areas in the senatorial district.

The event which was organized by the APC Joint Youth Organisations attracted top political leaders, party stalwarts and members of the APC from the local government witnessed a large turnout of crowd amidst shouts of “Second term”, “no shaking”, “Sai Ramoni”, “Kaiama for Abdulrazaq 2023” and “AA nio”.

While addressing newsmen during the event, the Governor who was represented by his special adviser political, Mallam Gidado Abdullateef Alakawa, said the event was not only gratifying but testifies to the huge impact the governor had made since assumption of office to the people, adding that the people have seen the past, present and have been able to anticipate the future.

Also speaking, Member representing Kaiama/Kemanji/Wajibe constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon Halidu Danbaba said the governor’s sterling performance had been unprecedented, adding that the council had never had it so good.

Chairman, Local Government Service Commission and Dan Masani of Kaiama Emirate Council, Alhaji Umaru Danladi, said the community is short of words in view of the catalogue of dividends of democracy in Kaiama.

BREAKING: Saraki Committee Fails, As Violence Mars PDP Northwest Congress

The Ongoing Northwest Zonal Congress of the People’s Democratic Party has suffered a setback as violence erupted at venue of the Congress holding in Kaduna.

The FidelinfoNews gathered that the cause of the latest round of violence has not been determined as at the time of filing this report.

It will be recalled that the Bukola Saraki led reconciliation committee had given the greenlight for the Northwest and Southwest Congress to hold, as it claimed efforts to reconcile factions had been successful.

In the same vein Saraki Committee recently suffered another failure when the late Buruji Kashamu faction of the PDP in Ogun state defected to the ruling APC despite the committee declaring end to years of feud in the state’s chapter.

Bauchi Jailbreak Attempt Caused By Mobile Phone – NCS

The Nigeria Correctional Service has disclosed that the attempted jail break at the Bauchi Correctional centre was as a result of an attempt to smuggle a mobile phone into the centre.

The FidelinfoNews gathered that an officer tried to smuggle in a mobile phone for inmates, which is clearly illegal and against the rules.

Reports indicates that a scuffle ensued when inmates who wanted to benefit from the deal had a face off with other officers who busted the plan and enforced the rules.

The commission also affirmed that 2 officers and 5 inmates sustained injuries in the disturbance, and have been treated and discharged.

The restive inmates have also been put under control while the staff involved is undergoing interrogation, as ordered by the State Controller. This regrettable development is being investigated.
