Do away with greed, Kwara Dep Gov urges Nigerians

JCI honours AbdulRazaq, Alabi, Danladi

Nigerians have again been charged to do away with greed and embrace the spirit of charity and giving.

The Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi gave the charge while speaking at a dinner organised by the Junior Chamber International JCI Nigeria in honour of the National President, Senator Detola Juyitan in Ilorin.

Mr Alabi called on Nigerians to work together as a team to collectively move the Nation to greatness.

The Deputy Governor stressed the need for attitudinal change on the part of the people and to assist those in needs.

He challenged Nigerian Youth to develop their passion and vision to be economically dependent.

Mr Alabi who was later honoured by the National President pledged the support of the State government to tye ideals and vision of the Organisation in the task to reorient Nigerian Youth.

The National President of JCI, Senator Detola Juyitan commended the State government for encouraging women to participate actively in governance.

Juyitan who promised to partner with the State government stated that JCI is working assiduously to change the mindset of the Youth towards Nation building and living a positive life.

She later honoured the State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, the Speaker, Yakub Danladi, the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon Raphael Adetiba, the House Leader, Hon Olawoyin Mogaji Abubakar, the Deputy Chief Whip, Hon Aliyu Jimoh Yusuf and the Chairman House Committee on Appropriation, Hon Ambali Ibrahim for sharing the vision of JCI.

A Senior member of the Chamber, Alhaji Raimi Akanbi commended the State government for its support and JCI for dedicating time and resources towards building a strong and virile youth.

In his keynote address, another senior member, Musa Yusuf said the Chamber had been existing in Nigeria over 61 years ago and had majority focus attention on service to humanity and empowering the people.
